How to find out about the status of your Aid or Refund

Login to OneStart at http://onestart.iu.edu and click on the Self-Service tab


Then click on My Bursar Account


select My Bursar Account again


Then select the Term and institution


On the account summary page click on View Account Detail

The page returned will show all charges, payments, anticipated aid, and actual aid awards.  It also will show any refunds that have been authorized.  These transactions appear in real-time, so you have the latest information. 

If a refund has been authorized it will appear with the date of the authorization, description, and amount.  Refunds will be applied directly to your checking account if you have set-up Direct Deposit or a check will be mailed to your address on file with the registrar.

You should generally allow 1 to 2 days from the refund date to allow the Direct Depositing transactions to occur, however for Direct Deposits you should check with your banking institution to confirm that the credit appears on your bank account.  Many banks provide automatic e-mail notifications for direct deposit and you may wish to set this up with your bank if it is available.  For deliveries of checks by mail, reasonable time should be allowed for the US Postal delivery.

 

If by following these steps you find reference to anticipated aid, you can view the status of each award that has not passed to your bursar account by returning to the OneStart Self-Service tab and selecting one of the following link from the Financial Aid channel
