When will I get my financial aid ?
Crediting of Aid (Grants,
Scholarships, Bank and University Loans):
At the start of
all semesters most grants, scholarships, and loans appear as
Anticipated Aid if packaged and the student meets eligibility requirements.
Although Anticipated Aid reflects as a credit on your bursar bill and reduces
the amount the you need to pay, it is not a valid or real credit on the
your account. If the amount is zero or appears as a negative amount or with
a CR the total bill is paid and the owe nothing more by the due date. If
there is a balance due either the minimum or the entire amount due needs to be
paid to avoid the possibility class enrollment termination or late fees.
On the 9th or
10th day prior to the first day of class all eligible and accepted
awards are passed as valid credits directly to each student's account (look
here to determine how you can verify this).
Guidelines exist for each type of assistance, and aid entries will pass to the
account only after having met the proper qualification requirements. These
eligibility requirements vary significantly and are generally described in the
materials used to apply for each award or loan. Please see
